On Saturday, our GMS Drone Team competed in the 1st Annual SDIRC Meta-Blazers Drone Competition and we’re proud to share that our students took home 1st Place in Speed! 🥇

🏑🐯 Congratulations to our GMS Boys Lacrosse Team!
The Tigers brought home a big 11–7 victory last night! We are so proud of the hard work, teamwork, and determination they showed on the field.
It was also a special 8th Grade Night, and we were excited to celebrate our amazing 8th grade players and all they have contributed to the program. Thank you to our families and fans who came out to support the team!

And wish the GMS Mock Trial Team well as they have just submitted their case to compete with schools across the state in a Mock Trial competition!
Over the past several weeks, our students have stepped into the roles of attorneys and witnesses. They built arguments, analyzed evidence, practiced objections, and mastered courtroom procedures. Their dedication, teamwork, and confidence have truly transformed our classroom into a courtroom!
A very special shoutout to our Teacher of the Gifted & Coach, Ms. Hyde, along with their Incredible Attorney Coaches Nicholas Bruce of Bruce Estate Law and Dane Ullian of Ullian Trail Law. We are so grateful for the time they volunteer after school and for the generous sponsorship from Bruce Estate Law ! Thank you for providing this incredible opportunity for our students.

We are excited to welcome Dominique Tynes Gibson to our upcoming Night of the Arts event on March 19th. She is best known for continuing the legacy of the Florida Highwaymen, a group of legendary African American landscape artists, many of whom were from Gifford, FL. A Fort Pierce native, she is the niece of original Florida Highwaymen James Gibson. Tynes is active in the Vero Beach community, where she focuses on teaching and mentoring youth in the love of painting. Her work has been featured in exhibitions such as the Black History Month Art Exhibit at the Terrace Gallery in Orlando City Hall (2024).
The 2026 GMS Night of the Arts event will take place from 6-8pm in the school courtyard on Thursday, March 19th and will feature performances from the GMS band, choir, orchestra, jazz band, flag and cheer teams in addition to a student art showcase. This free event is open to the public and will have food trucks and kona ice available. We hope to see you there!
