Graduation Rates

VERO BEACH, FL (January 13, 2026) - The School District of Indian River County is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year the District has achieved a 96% high school graduation rate according to results released today by the Florida Department of Education. This remains the highest graduation rate on the Treasure Coast and places the District among the most consistently high performing in the state.

Graduation is widely recognized as the strongest measure of a school system’s ability to support long term student success. Sustaining a 96% graduation rate reflects the strength of classroom instruction aligned systems of support and the shared belief that every student can succeed.

Key highlights from the 2024 2025 results include:

• The District maintained a 96% graduation rate for a third consecutive year.

• For the 2024-2025 school year, with SDIRC's 96% graduation rate, the SDIRC again maintained its #1 ranking for graduation rates in comparison to other districts on the Treasure Coast.

• Our high schools continue to deliver exemplary outcomes. Sebastian River High School and Vero Beach High School earned graduation rates of 98%, well-exceeding the state graduation rate.

• Over the past five years, only 15 of Florida’s 67 districts have recorded a graduation rate of 95% or higher even once, and Indian River is one of only three districts to do so in all five years.

• With regard to graduation rates by race/ethnicity, for 2024-2025, our District achieved the following graduation rates: Black – 94.8%; Hispanic – 96.7%; White – 95.9%. The graduation rate for Black students has increased by nearly 14 percentage points since 2018–2019, and Hispanic students have achieved a similar gain, improving by 14 percentage points over the same period.

• Our graduation rate for 2024-2025 for students with disabilities is 88% and for students with economic disadvantage is 94%.

These outcomes are the result of strong instruction, dedicated educators, and sustained support systems throughout the District.

“These results are a powerful reminder of what is possible when students are supported by exceptional teachers and a community that believes in them,” said Superintendent Dr David K. Moore. “Our graduates walk across the stage because thousands of people walk beside them, including families, educators, bus drivers, food service workers, support teams, and volunteers. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments, and we remain committed to providing every student in Indian River County with the opportunity to reach their full potential.”

The District extends its deepest appreciation to every member of our school community including teachers, paraprofessionals, classroom aides, support staff, bus drivers, food service workers, custodians, maintenance and facilities staff, school and district administrators, and all who serve our students each day as well as our families and community partners whose collective commitment helped make this achievement possible. We are also grateful for the educators and district teams from across Florida who have visited to learn alongside us, reflect on shared challenges, and contribute ideas that strengthen student success across our state.
